| Arrest made in slaying of Buffalo city bus driver |
Associated PressBUFFALO, N.Y. — Police have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of a Buffalo city bus driver. Detectives tell Buffalo media outlets that 39-year-old Brian Chapman Jr. was gunned down on his front porch early Wednesday morning while he waited for a ride to work. They say Joshua Mitchell of Buffalo is a suspect in the killing. He's been charged so far with two felony weapons counts. Police say they have no motive for the attack. Officials say several shots were fired at Chapman from a passing car. He later died at a hospital. Chapman was a bus driver and clerk for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority. Mitchell is scheduled to be in Buffalo City Court Thursday morning. Court officials don't know if he has a lawyer yet.
